Matthew and his team were fantastic! Their service was outstanding and completely took the pressure off of us on our big day. He worked around our schedule and made things very easy for us. His assistant Miguel gave us fantastic service throughout the night. Finally… the food - absolutely delicious. He’s clearly very skilled and did a wonderful job with each course. My only critique is that one of the team was filming us for a large portion of the evening, and many moments unrelated to the food or service. I would have preferred if this was discussed beforehand as we were a rather small and intimate wedding group and value our privacy.

Matthew and his team delivered what was, without question, the highlight of our holiday. From the moment they arrived, everything was handled with professionalism, warmth, and incredible attention to detail. They prepared a fantastic three-course meal in our villa, catered perfectly to our preferences, and provided seamless drinks service throughout the evening. The food was absolutely phenomenal, beautifully presented, full of flavour, and easily comparable to some of the best restaurant meals I’ve had. What made the experience even more special was how relaxed and effortless it felt. We were able to enjoy a fine dining experience without ever leaving the villa. Matthew and his team were friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Nothing felt like too much trouble, and they went above and beyond to make the evening memorable. I’ve had some great experiences during this holiday, but this was honestly the best of them all. If you’re considering booking Matthew and his team, don’t hesitate, you won’t regret it. A huge thank you to everyone involved for creating such a memorable evening. We will be talking about it long after the holiday is over.

We booked Mathew for my hen do and had a three-course meal cooked for us at our villa, and I honestly couldn't fault the experience. The food was absolutely incredible, with generous portion sizes and beautifully presented dishes. We booked a private chef for my friends hen do in Malaga 2026. We didnt know what to expect and as someone with severe food allergies I was very nervous about eating the food. However, Matthew and the team were absolutely amazing. Between the stunning food, the personal photography and Harry topping our drinks up every 5 minutes, we had the absolute best experience. Matthew was also super reassuring about how he would deal with my allergies (there are a lot) and everything was delicious. I felt super confident eating everything and glad I got to! If you're looking for a private dining experience in Malaga, Koala is definitely the company to go to!

I booked Mathew for a hen do party of 10 at our villa in Malaga. We opted for the Tapas & Paella. This was a fantastic experience and a highlight of the trip for our group. The food was delicious, fresh and beautifully prepared. Every dish was excellent and enjoyed by everyone. The whole evening felt relaxed and special. Mathew and team decorated the dining table beautifully and were perfect hosts for the night. Mathew was professional, friendly and made the experience completely stress-free from start to finish. The portions were generous and there was plenty of variety for everyone in the group. We had a few dietary requirements which Mathew was very responsive and accommodating to. It was such a lovely way to spend an evening and made the hen do feel extra special. I would highly recommend booking Mathew if you want a private dining experience - we would definitely book again!

We hired Koala Catering Marbella during our stay for my 40th. Mat and his wife were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. They were respectful, thoughtful, and incredibly helpful with the decorations, which made such a difference, especially when inviting people into your villa or home, a space that feels personal. Their presence was warm and interactive in all the right ways, adding to the experience without ever feeling intrusive. Mat’s food was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. What made it even more special was the way he shared the origins of the produce and the inspiration behind each dish. Wir hatten das Koala Team über Airbnb als Koch für ein 4-Gänge Abend gebucht. Das haben wir zum ersten Mal ausprobiert und Was für ein Erlebnis! Matthew und Harry waren pünktlich 1,5h vor dem Beginn des Essens da. Mit einem Glas des empfohlenen Weißweins haben wir auf unserer Terrasse gewartet und als wir gerufen wurden, hatten wir das Gefühl plötzlich in einem Sternelokal zu sein. Sehr leckeres Essen, tolle Atmosphäre, spannende Gespräche - ein wahrhaft unvergessliches Ereignis!

This was hands down one of the best dining experiences of my life. I am a serious foodie so when my friends (9 people) and I had Matthew come cook for us we had to have him come back! I wanted to bring him and Joana back to the U.S. with me! Everything was delicious and beautiful too. We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner prepared one day and then a 7 course meal a few days later. We were in search of a chef for a full day while on holiday in the Malaga area. A friend found Koala Catering and it was a breeze coordinating with them to provide breakfast, lunch and dinner for the day. To say that the meals were amazing is an understatement and the attention to detail creating a curated experience was top-tier! It was so wonderful that we scheduled them again for our final night’s dinner. That dinner, THAT DINNER…. A Chef’s tasting 5-7 course meal that was the best food I’ve had in my life. Beyond that Matt and Joanna are so kind, caring, and personable. You can feel their spirit in the food, the service, and the overall experience! They really are golden and so is Koala Catering! The full day of service for breakfast, lunch and dinner left us speechless from the menu selection to the presentation. Everything from the first moment was perfect, mathew and Johanna set the table beautifully and used what they could find around the house. The food was amazing and their service made for the most magical experience. A group of 10 us agreed his was the highlight of our trip. Matthew and Jo were such fantastic and warm hosts/chef. The food was gorgeous! And really made my cousins hen do night complete! Jo helped me set out the table with the decorations I brought and made sure all our drinks were topped up through out the night. They cleaned everything, did the dishes and put them away which we were super grateful for :) Thank you so much again!!

I can’t recommend Matt and Koala catering highly enough. We arranged for Matt to come to our villa to cook a meal for the start of our family holiday. The service and food were absolutely incredible, and it was a brilliant start to the trip, and all for a very reasonable price. Matt’s communication throughout was fantastic and he is very well organised. If you’re looking to celebrate a special occasion, or just something different for your holiday then give him a shout.
